Types of Brow Procedures

We will select the suitable one depending on your features, skin type, and beauty goals.

Powder Brows

Powder Brows technique uses a needle to apply pixel-like dots of pigment into the skin, meticulously building layers of colour and density. This method enhances your eyebrows by adding volume and definition, producing a polished and refined appearance.

For All Skin Types
Suitable for everyone, regardless of skin texture or tone.

Customized Look
From natural to makeup-like look, it can be tailored to meet your aesthetic desires.

Durable Results
Enjoy beautifully defined brows that can last 1-3 years, depending on skin type and care.

Nano Brows

Nano Brows technique uses a machine and a thin needle to implant pigment into the skin with precision to mimic eyebrow hair. This advanced technique fills your natural shape with additional hair stroke-like lines, resulting in ultra-realistic eyebrows.

Unlike Microblading which can cause trauma and scarring, Nano uses a gentler method on the skin and has much better long-term healed results.

For Specific Skin Types
Best on normal to dry skin. Not recommended for very oily skin.

Ideal for Sparse Brows
Most effective for enhancing thin or sparse brows. Less suitable for very dense brows as the strokes may not be visible once healed.

Requires Healthy Skin
Optimal for skin without significant sun damage or complications, ensuring clearer, more lasting results.

Care Instructions

To ensure a smooth procedure and optimal healed results,
please follow these guidelines.

Pre-care

    • Healthy Skin Routine: Maintain healthy skin, as it's essential for a successful procedure and beautiful results.

    • Sun Exposure: Avoid UV exposure on your face for 2 weeks before and after your appointment to prevent rescheduling due to sunburn.

    • Exfoliation: Gently exfoliate the brow area in the days before your appointment to remove dead skin and ensure optimal condition for tattooing. Avoid harsh scrubbing.

    • Vitamin A/Retinol: To reduce skin sensitivity, stop using products containing vitamin A or retinol four weeks before your appointment.

  • 24 Hours Before Your Appointment:

    • Medications and Supplements: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin E, and other blood thinners.

    • Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol.

    • Caffeine: Limit intake. A small cup of coffee three hours before your appointment is permissible.

    • Facial Treatments: Do not wax, tweeze, or tint the brow area within 1 week of your appointment. Avoid facials and chemical peels within 2 weeks.

    • Botox and Fillers: Avoid botox or filler treatments in the facial area for at least 3 weeks before your procedure.

After-care

    • Immediate Cleaning: Once you get home, for the first hour after your appointment, clean your brows every 20 minutes with a damp cotton pad to remove lymph fluid and minimize scabbing.

    • Regular Cleaning: Continue to clean every 2 to 3 hours with a damp cotton pad.

  • Washing and Moisturizing: Gently wash the treated area with the cleanser provided in your aftercare kit each morning and evening. Pat dry gently and apply a very thin layer of aftercare ointment using a rice-sized amount for both brows. Use clean hands or a Q-tip, and avoid oversaturating.

    • Water Exposure: Avoid soaking the treated area. Only wash as instructed.

    • Sweating: Avoid heavy sweating for the first three days to protect pigment retention.

    • Heat and Steam: Avoid steam rooms and saunas, and reduce shower temperature and duration for the first 10 days.

    • Scab Care: Do not pick at scabs. Let them shed naturally to avoid scarring and pigment loss.

    • Product Restrictions: For 10 days after the procedure, avoid applying skincare products on or near the treated area. For dry skin, apply a gentle moisturizer at the hairline only.

    • Makeup: To prevent infection, avoid makeup on the brow or forehead area for at least 10 days after the procedure.

    • Initial Appearance: Immediately after your brow treatment, the pigment will appear darker and more intense. This initial darkness is part of the healing process.

    • Lightening Phase: The colour will lighten significantly as the outer skin layer heals and exfoliates.

    • Color Stabilization: Over the next 2-4 weeks, the pigment will continue to settle. The final colour and shape are typically softer and more natural by week 4.

    • Assessment: After the healing phase, assess whether the brows need a touch-up. Minor adjustments can be made, especially if there are any uneven areas.

    • Scheduling: Touch-ups are usually done 6 to 8 weeks post-procedure.

    • Patience and Care: Be patient and follow all aftercare instructions to support the best possible healing.

    • Protection: Protect your brows from excessive sunlight and avoid harsh facial treatments during the healing period.

Brows FAQs

  • Eyebrow tattoos generally last between 1 to 3 years. Several factors influence their longevity:

    • Skin Type: Oily skin can cause the pigment to fade faster, while drier skin types may retain colour longer.

    • Sun Exposure: Frequent sun exposure can significantly fade the pigment over time. Using a high-SPF sunscreen can help preserve the colour.

    • Lifestyle: Activities involving high levels of sweating, swimming, and exposure to chemicals can also accelerate fading.

    • Quality of Pigment and Technique: The type of pigment used and the depth at which it is implanted also affect how long the colour lasts.

    • Aftercare: Following the aftercare instructions meticulously can extend the life of your eyebrow tattoos.

Touch-up sessions are recommended every 12 to 18 months to keep your brows looking fresh. These sessions can address fading and adjust the shape or colour, keeping your brows consistent with your desired appearance.

  • Surprisingly, no! We apply a topical anesthetic that makes the process so painless you might even nod off. The initial sensation may feel like a bit of scratching. Many of our clients report that tweezing is actually more uncomfortable than the tattooing itself.

  • Microblading: This technique uses a razor to create fine, hair-like strokes in the skin, which mimic natural eyebrow hairs. It's particularly effective for achieving a natural, subtle look. Microblading is best suited for individuals with normal to dry skin and is not recommended for those with oily or sensitive skin due to the potential for blurring and faster fading.

Powder Brows: This technique utilizes a tattoo machine with a very fine needle to create a soft, powdered makeup look rather than individual hair strokes. It’s great for adding fullness and depth to the brows and is versatile enough for all skin types, including oily or mature skin.

Nano Brows: Also done with a tattoo machine, Nano Brows are similar to Microblading because they use highly precise lines to create the impression of fine hair strokes. Since Nano Brows are much less invasive, they’re suitable for most skin types, including those where Microblading might not be ideal. Nano Brows will also cause less trauma to the skin compared to Microblading.

    Key Differences:

    • Tool Usage: Microblading uses a manual tool, while Powder and Nano Brows uses an electric device.

    • Technique: Microblading cuts into the skin, whereas Powder and Nano Brows use a small needle to deposit pigment into the skin.

    • Appearance: While Microblading technique provides hair-like strokes for a natural look, it may not deliver long-lasting results and is less versatile across different skin types. Nano Brows also provide hair-like strokes but with longer-lasting results and suitability for more skin types. In comparison, Powder Brows offer a fuller, makeup-like finish.

Skin Suitability: Microblading is less suitable for oily or sensitive skin, while Powder and Nano Brows can be adapted for virtually any skin type.

  • Choosing the right eyebrow shape involves a personalized consultation with your artist. During this session, your artist will discuss your personal style and examine your facial features to recommend a shape that complements and enhances your natural appearance. They will use precise measurements and mapping techniques to ensure symmetry and balance, crafting brows that align with your unique face shape.

  • Before your eyebrow tattoo session, ensure optimal results by following these steps:

    • Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment, as they can increase bleeding and sensitivity.

    • Skip Blood Thinners: If possible, avoid taking blood-thinning medications for a few days before your session (consult your doctor first).

    • No Botox or Toxins: Avoid Botox or other injectable treatments in the facial area for at least three weeks before your appointment to ensure the skin’s natural contours are maintained.

    • Stay Out of the Sun: Avoid tanning or prolonged sun exposure to prevent sunburn on your face.

    • No Face Treatments: Do not undergo any facial treatments, such as peels, facials, or microdermabrasion, at least three weeks before.

    • Remove Makeup: Come to your appointment with a clean face free of makeup.

    • Stay Hydrated and Rested: Ensure you are well-hydrated and have slept well before your appointment.

Following these pre-care instructions can help ensure a smoother procedure and better healing.

  • Proper aftercare is crucial for the healing and longevity of your eyebrow tattoos. Follow these steps for optimal results:

    • Keep Them Dry: Avoid getting your eyebrows wet for at least 7 to 10 days. This includes keeping them dry during showers and avoiding swimming pools, saunas, and steam rooms.

    • Clean Gently: For the first 24 hours, gently clean the eyebrows daily with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat them dry with a clean tissue.

    • Apply Healing Ointment: Use a recommended healing ointment sparingly to keep the area moist and promote healing. Apply as directed by your technician.

    • Avoid Makeup: To avoid infections, do not apply makeup or skincare products directly to your eyebrows until they have fully healed.

    • No Picking: As your eyebrows heal, they may scab or flake. Avoid picking at these as it can remove the pigment and lead to uneven healing.

    • Protect From The Sun: Once healed, protect your eyebrows from direct sunlight by wearing a hat or applying a high-SPF sunscreen to prevent fading.

    • Follow-Up Care: Attend follow-up appointments as your artist advises to ensure your eyebrows heal correctly and retain their shape and colour.

Adhering to these aftercare guidelines can help ensure your new eyebrows heal beautifully and maintain their desired appearance for longer.

  • Yes, but it depends on the condition of your previous tattoo. A consultation is necessary to determine if a correction or cover-up is possible. If we don’t meet in person, please send me a message with a clear, well-lit photo of your face and brows. Please be aware that regardless of any previous work done elsewhere, your first appointment with me will be treated as an initial session and priced accordingly. These appointments generally involve more extensive work and require additional effort.

  • The procedure typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours. This includes the initial consultation to discuss your desired look, the actual application of the pigment, and any final adjustments to ensure perfect results. It's important to allow enough time to ensure meticulous and satisfactory work.

  • Yes, eyebrow tattoos can be corrected or removed if necessary. Corrections usually involve adjusting the shape or colour to better suit your preferences. For removal, options include laser treatments or other procedures designed specifically for tattoo removal. Both processes should be performed by qualified professionals and may require multiple sessions to achieve the desired outcome.

  • After your initial eyebrow tattoo session, a perfecting session is recommended 6-8 weeks later to finalize the colour and shape of your brows, ensuring they look precisely as you desire. Additionally, yearly maintenance touch-ups are recommended every 12 to 18 months to maintain your brows's colour, shape, and definition.

The frequency of these maintenance touch-ups can vary based on factors such as your skin type, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare instructions. Factors like oily skin, frequent sun exposure, and using certain skincare products can cause the pigment to fade faster, potentially requiring more frequent touch-ups.
